CETINJE-NJEGUSI-LOVCENCetinje is situated in the fields at the base of the Lovcen Mountain and 50 km far from Hotel Vizantija.It is a treasure of Montenegrin cultural and historical heritage. Two of the most representative buildings are the Monastery of Cetinje and Billiard. There are relics of Saint Peter of Cetinje.Njegusi are birth place of Dynasty Petrovic. Place is famous for the production of “Cheese from Njegusi”, smoked ham and dried goat cheese from Njegusi. This area is placed at the altitude of 900 m. Lovcen is a national park located in rocky region of Dinar Alps. It rises to 1749 meters of altitude. Park is 6400 hectares large. In this park is mausoleum of Montenegrin ruler and poet Petar II Petrovic Njegos. That imposing building has 461 stairs that lead from parking lot to mausoleum itself. Lovcen is our “Holly altar”- symbol of Montenegro and gives it national identity.
